Lost and Found is overflowing!

Many very nice pieces of clothing have been in our lost and found for a while. With the holidays approaching we are hoping these wayward items can find their way home. The items are all displayed in the front hall of the school. Please drop by and take a look. You would be surprised how many children do not recognize their own belongings. Any items not collected will be sent to charity.

Elementary Schools Will be Closed to Students on Friday, December 14 as a Result of Elementary Teachers’ One-Day Strike Action

December 11, 2012

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have been informed by the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) that elementary teachers and Designated Early Childhood Educators at all public elementary schools in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) will be taking full strike action for one day on Friday, December 14, 2012 in response to the Government of Ontario’s passing of Bill 115.

As a result of this one-day strike action by teachers, SCDSB public elementary schools will be closed to elementary students for one day only on Friday, December 14, 2012. Child care centres located in these school buildings will remain open only for children already registered in those programs. Before- and after- school programs will not be open in these school buildings on that day.

Buses and Vans Cancelled Today, Monday, December 10–School is open for student learning

All school buses and vans in Simcoe County have been cancelled due to icy road conditions and the chance of freezing rain.
All schools remain open for student learning.
If your child is not a bus/van rider but you are choosing to keep him/her home today, please call the Huron Park Safe Arrival line at 705-526-5300.  The safe arrival callout continues on bus/cancellation days.  If you don’t call the Safe Arrival line when you are keeping your child home, we have to call you to establish the safety of your child.  This slows down the callout process potentially putting another child’s life at risk.  Please do your part by calling the Safe Arrival Line.
Thanks for your support.
